NOTE: you MAY link to this tut. you MAY print it out for later use offline. you MAY NOT claim it as yours or take anything else from it. this tutorial is ©Ruby/Stormlight, written May 26, 2013.

Supplies needed:
-- PSP
-- main tube of choice (I used one of Abranda Sisson's lovely faeries.  she is now at Up Your Art.)
-- scrap kit "Secret Garden" by my good friend Cakes.  you can buy this kit here.
-- the plugin EyeCandy 4000.
-- Jazzy's "basic" drop shadow setting of 2, 2, 50, 3.
-- font of choice.

Let's create!

Banner:
1.  Create a new canvas - size 600x250.

2.  Open bead1 element and paste on canvas.  Use deform tool to stretch slightly to fit length.  Duplicate this layer and flip to bottom.  Paste it in again, but rotate this layer 90 degrees and drag to the left edge of your canvas.  Duplicate layer, mirror.  Merge visible.

3. Open Paper5 and paste onto canvas.  Drop below beaded edge layer.

4.  Paste in your tube under the beaded edge and place on left side.  Resize if needed (I resized mine 70%).  Apply basic drop shadow.

5.  Now let's add in some elements.  All elements are resized with the smart size setting.  Only apply basic drop shadow where you see the marker [DS] on the end, but change the horizontal offset to -2:

grass - place below your tube layer.  70%.  [DS]
sun.  60%, place in upper right corner.
rainbow - place under sun layer.  Move to the right so that the right-hand edge blends in with the sun.
flower 2, 40%.  [DS]
Optional - flower4.  10%.  Duplicate a couple times and place at random through the grass.  [DS]

6.  Create new raster layer for your name.  Go to effects > 3D effects > inner bevel with the following settings:

7.  Apply basic drop shadow to your name.

8.  Create new raster layer for your copyright/watermark and add it on.  Save as png.

Avatar -

1.  Create new canvas - size 150x150.

2.  Copy a section of your bead border from the banner with the selection tool, paste in and follow directions from step 2 to create the bead border on avatar.

3.  Paste in Paper5, resize 50%

4.  Copy tube layer from your banner, resize if needed (I resized 75%) and position as you like.

5.  Copy rainbow element from your banner and place under tube layer.   Resize 50%.

6.  Repeat steps 6-8 for your initial and copyright/watermark.  Save as png.

and you're all done!  Enjoy your new forum set!
