Supplies needed:
-- PSP
-- main tube of choice (I used Cherry Michelle by Alehandra Vanhek.  she is available for purchase at PFD.)
-- scrap kit "Raspberry Sun" by MistyLynn.  you can purchase this kit here.

-- Jazzy's "basic" drop shadow setting of 2, 2, 50, 3.
-- font of choice.  i used A&S Snapper.

Let's get creating! 





Banner:
1.  Create a new canvas - size 600x250.

2.  Click your magic wand inside the canvas.  Selections > modify > contract by 5.  Paste in paper10.  Hit your delete key, then deselect.

3.  Open Paper 8, paste below the paper10 cut out layer.  

4.  Create a new raster layer and floodfill white.  In your layer palette, reduce the opacity of paper8 to 32%.

5.  Paste in tube.  Apply basic drop shadow.

6.  Time for some elements.  All elements are resized with the smart size setting.  Apply basic drop shadow after each one is placed:
Sand, 75%
Wave1, 50%.  Place this layer under sand layer.
Drink2, 10%
Towel2, 50%
Umbrella2, 50%
Sunscreen, 10%
Radio, 15%

7.  Create new raster layer for your name.    Go to effects > 3D effects > inner bevel and apply the following settings:



8.  Apply a basic drop shadow, but change color to the dark blue of the wave element.

9.  Create new raster layer for your copyright/watermark and add it on.  Save as png.


Avatar:
1.  Create new canvas - size 150x150.  Floodfill with white.

2.  Repeat step two with a paper of choice.

3.  Copy paper8 from banner and paste it under your cut out paper, but raise the opacity to 38.

4.  Copy in sand from banner, place near bottom.

5.  Copy in your tube from banner, resize if needed.  Move to right hand side.

6.  Open and add sun element, resize 35%, place in upper left corner.

7.  Open beachball1 element, resize 7%.  Place on sand.

8.  Repeat steps 7-9 from the banner instructions to add your initial and copyright/watermark.  Save as png.

and you're done!  enjoy your new forum set!
