sooo i forgot to mention that i got accepted to a SECOND creative team--that of the phenomenal Shani/Wicked Princess!  this woman makes some of the coolest kits in existence, AND offers lots of great freebies for those on a tight budget.  pop by her blog here and see all the great stuff she has to offer!

enough of my babbling....here is my first Wicked Princess CT tut!

NOTE: you MAY link to this tut. you MAY print it out for later use offline. you MAY NOT claim it as yours or take anything else from it. this tutorial is ©Ruby/Stormlight, written January 5, 2013.

Supplies needed:
-- PSP
-- EyeCandy plug-in Gradient Glow
-- main tube(s) of choice - if you want to imitate my design, see if you have tube(s) with an angel/devil theme; if not, just use two tubes of choice by the same artist.  I used a tube by Amanda Fontaine.
-- scrap kit "Anette" by Wicked Princess  [THIS KIT HAS BEEN RETIRED]

-- Jazzy's "Basic Drop Shadow" setting of 2, 2, 50, 4 and color black.
-- mask of choice.
-- font of choice.

1.  Open the element heartframe2, duplicate, close original.  Save your file and give it a name.  Resize to 75% smart size, all layers checked, then another 75%, all layers UNchecked.

2.  Move frame to center and slightly down if needed on your file.

3.  Open paper 1, copy and paste it into your file, and drop it below the frame layer.  Return to frame, click inside it with your magic wand.  Selections > expand by 4, invert.   Return to the paper layer, hit delete, and deselect.

4.  Copy/paste tube alone (first tube if you are using two) into your file, resize by 65% bicubic.  Apply the basic drop shadow.  Drop it underneath frame.  Repeat the latter half of step 3 to erase the excess.  On the layer palette, change it to blend mode screen.

5.  Copy/paste tube with shadow (or second tube) into your file.  Repeat step four (but change the resize to 45%), and use the mirror command so it is facing opposite direction.  On the layer palette, change this layer to blend mode darken and drop the opacity to 74% or a desired level that makes your tube's face appear partly in shadow but still visible.

6.  Paste in paper 5.  Apply your mask and merge group.  Drop the mask layer below everything else.

7.  Now let's add some elements.  (Remember to use the basic drop shadow on each one.)  Open up the fan element and paste it in under the frame layer.  Duplicate it, and mirror the duplicate.  Merge them together.

8.  Next, add the flower bow - place it at top of the fan arrangement.  Then open up the trillium flower and a bow of choice.  Place the bow on the flower's stem after resizing to fit.  Merge together, resize to size of choice, and place it to the right of the frame.

9.  Add on the lattice heart element, resize to 30% smart size.  Duplicate, and hang one on each side of the frame.  Use the layer blend modes from steps four and five, one on each heart.

10.  Add on the blue rose element, resize to desired size, and place just to the left of the hearts on the frame's bottom.

11.  Create a new raster layer for text.  Put words "angel" and "devil" inside each heart, in contrasting colors if you wish.  Use the following setting in Gradient Glow to make the words show up better:

12.  Create another new raster layer for your name.  Use the following Gradient Glow setting on your name.

13.  Create a new raster layer for your copyright/watermark.  Use the same Gradient Glow setting from the last step if needed to make it more visible.

all done!
