NOTE: you MAY link to this tut.  you MAY print it out for later use offline. you MAY NOT claim it as yours or take anything else from it. this tutorial is ©Ruby/Stormlight, written April 20, 2014.

**The above cover is snaggable for use!  DO NOT EDIT IN ANY WAY OR REMOVE THE ARTIST'S COPYRIGHT.**

Supplies needed:
-- PSP

-- main tube of choice (I used Danny Lee's awesome Katniss tube called "Archer")
-- two papers from a scrap kit of choice.  (I used a mini kit by Ali Emma, which was posted many years ago on a now defunct msn group.)
-- template of choice.  (Millie has tons of great Facebook cover templates.  check out her blog for the selection!  for this tut, I chose cover template #12)
-- the plugin Burnt Edges, part of the Alien Skin Xenofex 2 collection.
-- Jazzy's "basic" drop shadow setting of 2, 2, 50, 3 and color black.
-- font of choice.  I used Voluta Script.

Cover:
1.  Open template, duplicate, close original and save this as your new canvas.  Delete word art layers and stars layer. [optional - delete layer 4, the two small rounded rectangles]

2.  Click on your background and paste in a paper of choice.

3.  Click on layer 2 (center rounded rectangle) and floodfill with a dark color from your tube.

4.   Click on layer 9 (the dotted border) and, using your color replacer tool, change the color to a medium-light color from your tube.

5.  Click on layer 1 (gray rectangle) and paste in a contrasting paper of your choice.  (i.e. of a different color or color hue)

6.  Click on layer 3 (the aqua rectangle) and floodfill with the same color used in step four, but in your color palette, choose a lighter shade of that color.

7.  In your plugins menu, go to Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Burnt Edges and apply the following settings:

8.  Paste in your tube.  Resize to your preference if needed and move so that your tube's upper body is on top of the burnt rectangle.  Apply Jazzy's basic drop shadow.

9.  Return to the burnt rectangle layer and click your magic wand outside the rectangle.  Selections > modify > expand by 2.  Return to your tube layer and hit the delete key.

10.  Create a new raster layer for your chosen text.  Type in your text and position it on layer 2.  [optional - in your layers palette, lower opacity to 55 and change blend mode to hard light.]

11.  Create a second new raster layer.  Type your name (or second quote) and position it to your liking.  In your layers palette, lower opacity to 25-35 percent and change blend mode to burn.

12.  Create a new raster layer for your copyright/watermark.  Use small font, such as Arial Narrow at 11 point.

13.  Delete the black square that indicates profile picture placement and save as png.

Profile Photo:
1.  Open a new canvas, 180x180.  Copy background paper and paste into canvas.

2.  Create a new raster layer, click your magic wand on it.  Paste your other paper onto your canvas.  Selections > modify > contract by 7.  Hit your delete key.

3.  Paste in your tube.  Move her under the border layer.

4.  Repeat steps 11 and 12 from the cover directions for your initial and copyright.
